Construction
- RAPTOR Cross Lite - A triple ripstop with excellent abrasion resistance combined with aUTS polyurethane composite coating for a 50% increase in tear strength performance. A non-fluorocarbon water repellent finish.
- RAPTOR Flex Lite - Recycled nylon plain weave, with 4 way differential stretch to accommodate expansion while minimizing bounce. Excellent Abrasion resistance and a non-fluorocarbon water repellent finish.
- CONTACT DIA Mesh - Quick dry time for all day comfort. POLYGIENE® permanent odour control.

Absolutely loving the new gecko 20 , between the the bungees and the just above waist strap it hardly moves , allows you to move quickly over rough ground , storage pockets are plentiful and well placed , definitely recommend i love it

My first proper use of the Montane Gecko VP 20+ what was when I completed the UTMB TDS race wearing this vest. As I had been late in ordering the item I'd only previously worn it on a 10 km jog along a river path before embarking on the race from Courmayeur in Italy to Chamonix in France covering 150 km and 9, 500 metres of elevation gain and loss. The vest was superb. It allowed me easy and quick access to all of my equipment providing more than enough space to carry mandatory equipment as well as any additional items such as extra warm clothing and additional water. Despite carrying quite a heavy load, I had absolutely no shoulder discomfort and no chafing or rubbing. The vest fitted snuggly to my body and did not bounce around even when covering significant downhill sections that went on for several kilometres. I would highly recommend this vest for those people interested in significant days out in the hills including ultra races.

Montane equipment is Outstanding. The Gecko VP20+ large backpack is the perfect size. For sizing purposes I’m 5ft 7” with a 44” chest.
I assisted on a N3P challenge, the backpack just wrapped round my torso and fitted so snuggly. This pack is now ready to grab and go with almost all the gear I need just missing waterproof trousers.
