Ive just used the Gecko 20L on a 4 day ‘run’ around the Tour Du Mont Blanc route.
Bag performed really well but unfortunately the stitching failed on the stretch side pockets. I reported to Montane and have now exchanged the bag at my local running shop. It maybe a known design issue.
Pros -
Medium Fitted OK - I’m 5’4” with 36” chest - Ive gone Small with the new exchanged bag
Very little bounce even when full
Loads of storage options - liked the front zip pockets and stretch side pockets
Bottles are easy to put in their pockets even when zipped pockets are full
Side compression cords work well
Cons -
Side pocket stitching failure
The top pocket ‘fastener’ has a tendency to unclip - I almost lost my sun glasses
The chest straps tend to loosen but can be tightened on the move
I didn't use the pole attachment loops as I prefer a waist band
