The best hiking trousers I have ever owned! The fit is perfect and they are really comfortable. Stayed warm and dry even in pretty chilly and damp conditions, comfortable over knees even with lots of climbing, and great fit around even high boots with the adjustable ankle area. The venting is then great (on the thigh) for when it does warm up a bit. These are the best in chillier conditions, but when a bit warmer the Terra version was perfect !

Worn them a couple of times on long hikes already, Ben Nevis (warming day, through wind and rain to freezing on top) and across Dartmoor (warm, cloudy, torrential rain, mist, sunshine) - all seasons in one day. Performed amazingly, loving the fabric on the inside leg that stops the boot rub, they dry out really quickly in rainy conditions (no need to stop and put on waterproof trousers) - just ace!
They instantly felt warm when I put them on and had a slight worry they’d be too warm on an autumn day but they were just perfect, the side zips ventilate well! Pockets are great, comfy and stylish - go get a pair!

Wore for 5 day trip to Norway, great trousers in a range of conditions (blizzards to sunshine) and the side vents are really effective to help manage temperature. Also love the fact they come in a short length - well done Montane!
